Wilson's popularity travelled to the United States in 2014, when she appeared in Showtimes The Affair. She performed the role of Alison Lockhart, a young woman with a troubled past and becomes involved with Noah Solloway. Wilson received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series in Drama 2015 together with Mauratierney as well as Joshua Jackson. Wilson told British Vogue: "I love the fact that I am able to play characters with two different perspectives." Noah believes that Alison to be this confident and reckless and sexy model of herself. The Little Stranger More recently Wilson has turned to more film work. The year she was born, she starred as the Pretty Thing from the House in the film I Am the Pretty Thing. And in 2017, played the cryptic PT Stella, in the sci-fi romcom How to Talk to Girls at Parties. The filmography of her will soon feature another film in the horror genre. This British film adaptation The Little Stranger is an supernatural thriller inspired by a Sarah Waters novel. Wilson directs the production.
